Rowan Starr

Growing up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, I was a kid with a sketchbook in hand. Art was my passion from the start, and when screen names became a thing, I proudly proclaimed myself as an artist to the world. I’m pretty sure there’s an elementary school assignment somewhere that says I wanted to be an artist when I grew up.

And guess what? I followed through on that dream. I pursued a degree in Illustration at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, earning a BFA. Drawing and painting have always been my joy, with a special place in my heart for oils and acrylics.

My journey into the world of tattooing began when I was a high school senior. I spent every summer in a tattoo shop throughout college. It might come as no surprise, considering my mother has been adorned with tattoos for as long as I can remember. Her support was the extra push I needed.

I took the plunge into tattooing at Infamous Tattoo Inc. in Middletown, Delaware, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity to chase my dreams.

Today, I’m proud to be a tattoo artist at Inkology Tattoo Art Gallery NY, PA. My favorite subjects to tattoo are anything related to nerdy interests or the beauty of nature. Lately, I’ve been enjoying creating anime-inspired tattoos too.
