Lorena Borges (Fiori Lorett)
Lorena Borges, also known as Fiori Lorett, is a Brazilian-born art nouveau tattoo artist and a resident artist at Inkology Art Gallery NY. Born in the small town of Campina Verde, Lorena’s passion for drawing and creating art began in childhood. Her early exposure to the tattooing world was influenced by her mother, a tattoo artist, and her father’s career as a circus artist, which kept the family constantly on the move across Brazil.
In 2002, Lorena began her tattooing career. Her love for drawing, music, and traveling led her to embark on solo adventures, with her first trip taking her to London at the age of 19. There, she worked as a tattoo artist apprentice, gaining her first international experience. Following a year in London, Lorena moved to Italy to explore the local tattoo scenes and experience life in another beautiful country. She spent three years traveling and working in Italy, with frequent visits back to Brazil. After winning a tattoo contest, she decided to move to Spain, enchanted by its vibrant culture and opportunities for artistic growth.
Settling in Madrid, Lorena became a member of the renowned tattoo shop “Mao e Cathy.” Her time there allowed her to collaborate with many talented artists, significantly enhancing her skills. She also participated in a TV show called “Madrid Ink,” which, despite not meeting her expectations, provided her with valuable experience and resilience.
In 2014, Lorena founded her own tattoo shop, “Forget me Not Tattoo” (FMN). Running this business for five years in Spain helped her grow both personally and professionally. After nine years in Spain and numerous enriching experiences, Lorena decided to seek more freedom and focus on a style she had come to love: Neo-Traditional tattooing.
You can now find Lorena in New York, where she continues her artistic journey at Inkology Art Gallery NY.
